Start: Where It All Began
Back in 2019, I was at my heaviest, 27 stone 1 pound. Life was tough. I struggled with the simplest things, from walking up stairs to tying my shoes, and I was diagnosed with Pre-diabetes. It wasn’t just about my size anymore. It was about my health and my future.
That was my turning point. I wanted my life back and I was ready to make a real change. No more quick fixes or fad diets. Just consistent effort and a plan that worked.
Middle: Finding What Worked
After a lot of trial and error, I finally found what worked for me, a plan that taught me discipline, structure, and balance. Through The 1:1 Diet, I lost 13 stone and began introducing exercise, starting with short walks that soon became runs.
Running completely changed my mindset. It gave me focus, confidence, and freedom. It became my therapy and my outlet. From my first 1K to finishing my first 10K, I found something I truly loved.
As my miles increased, so did my passion for helping others find their motivation. I shared my progress, joined local events, and found a community of runners who understood what running can do for your physical and mental health.
Till Now: The STRYQ Journey - Running Gear UK
The more I ran, the more I realised how expensive and inconsistent running gear could be. The high-end brands were overpriced, and the cheap gear wasn’t worth a button. I wanted quality running gear that performed well without breaking the bank, but it just didn’t exist.
